What does your office look like?

In my time as a professional organizer, I have encountered some scary looking office spaces. Most often, a cluttered messy office is caused by lack of a system and too much paper! Well, organizing guru Peter Walsh (host of TLC’s Clean Sweep and a frequent Oprah guest) has come up with a great system, in partnership with Office Max, for getting and keeping your office area organized.
I participated in a webcast introducing the new product line as well as received product samples to review. I was impressed when the products arrived. The first thing that struck me is that they are compatible with sticky notes- hello? Anyone out there the sticky note queen? I have encountered clients that could fight you for the tiara, that’s for sure. Peter recommended the same solution that I offer to my clients, which is to carry a small notebook and write down all those things you write on sticky notes in one place. And, his new line of products has really nice quality notebooks (the one they sent me is journal sized) that are perfect for doing just that.
The file holders and some of the other products are clear. Having a see through filing system is really valuable to someone not used to filing their paper clutter. Being able to glance at what is inside can save time and effort as you become used to it. I also like that most of the items in this collection are portable. If you are a busy woman (or man) on the go, having products that are versatile enough to go with you (whether it be from room to room in your home or out and about visiting clients) is a big plus!
