When we moved in December to a house half the size of our former house (on purpose) I looked forward to the challenge of organizing a small space with gusto! I want to share a few ways that we make this space work for our family in hopes that some of the storage ideas will be useful to you, my readers, as well.
Today, we will talk about office space. I went from having my own office in our old house to needing to incorporate office space into our living space. The first thing we decided when we moved into this house is that we would use the space meant for a formal dining room as a family room/office space. There is a large breakfast nook in the kitchen that is plenty of room for our family (and the occasional guests) to eat in.
One important thing to do when space is limited is to maximize what you do have. Hence this table..just your standard folding table. I placed my file holders under it, covered it with fabric that matches our color scheme and use the top for baskets that hold library books that need returned, etc.

I also moved into a condo about half the size of my house. I would love to have more ideas for storage. I had to leave a lot of things behind or give them away but it seems like space is still tight. Thanks for the article & keep them coming!!
