I love getting and using gift cards! However, if you have more than one or two in your wallet, things can get crowded and confusing.
Questions like how much does this card have left on it can discourage some from using their gift cards (with smaller balances) at all. *gasp*
~Get a separate credit card holder just for gift cards.
~Use a sharpie to mark the new balance of a card after it is used. (This is typically printed out on the bottom of a receipt but you can also access the balance online)
Now, what about those rewards cards? I love those too. They really do save money. But, it seems that EVERY store has one now. How do you manage the mess of cards?
~If they offer a key chain version I use that. I keep all of my keychain reward cards on a separate key chain, clipped to the inside of my purse.
~If a store doesn’t offer a key chain version then I keep the rewards card in the same credit card holder as I do my gift cards. They make some really cute ones on Etsy.
~When a coupon comes in the mail (a perk of being a rewards club member) I immediately put it in my wallet. That way I am not in danger of forgetting it the next time I happen to be in a particular store. Then, I check my wallet before I go into the mall or a store to see if I have any applicable coupons.
How do you keep all your gift cards and rewards cards organized?

What a simple, smart idea for a separate key chain, can’t tell you how many times ‘my keys’ were at home!
