Financial Cost of Clutter

[#7: Edit Options>MightyAdsense>Adsense Code]

Have you ever thought about what clutter costs you?  With the economy as it is and our (not new to me) new focus on ways to creatively save money, I wanted to focus on the cost of clutter in your environment.  Many times we don’t think of clutter and disorganization as expensive but it really can be.

  • Have you ever run out of something, due to poor planning, and ended up having to buy it at an expensive store or without being able to take advantage of coupons or sales?
  • Have you ever had to pay late fees, overdraft charges or interest because you lacked organization in your finances?
  • Have you ever had to throw away food or medicine because you it expired before you used it?
  • Have you ever ended up buying something you know you have somewhere but just can’t find, only to find it later and now you have two of the same thing?
  • Have you ever forgotten to mail someone a birthday card, etc. because it got lost in the paper pile on your dining room table?

I could go on and I am sure most of you can come up with your own examples of what clutter has cost you personally.  The wonderful thing about becoming more organized is that you can develop systems to handle all of the situations above, saving your family time and money!
